SNU Chorale

 
 
...the Chorale is dedicated to the study and performance of the finest choral literature (sacred and secular) of all musical eras.  One of four performing choral ensembles in the SNU School of Music, Chorale members represent the diversity of SNU's student body with majors in fields like biology, business, chemistry, exercise science, graphic design, history, marketing, mass communications, missions, music business, music education, music ministry, music performance,
psychology, and theology/ministry.  The Chorale has been privileged to perform several times as a collegiate honor choir for the Oklahoma Music Educators Association In-Service Workshop, and was invited to perform at the inaugural Primer Festival Internacional de Coros de Cámera, in Chiapas, Mexico (2006).  The Chorale tours within the region with occasional international  tours.  Performances have taken them throughout the southwestern United States as well as to Austria and the Czech Republic (May 2010), England, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Holland, Mexico, Portugal, Russia, and Spain.

Auditions are held annually at the end of the spring semester for the following academic year.


  1. BulletFreshmen and Transfer Students:

   We will have hearings at the beginning of the Fall Semester to place you in the Concert Choir. At that time we will consider you for participation in Chorale.
